Southern Health Partners (SHP) is seeking a dependable Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our PRN nursing team at Cabarrus County Jail!

🩺 What Youll Do
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and established protocols.
- Assess patient needs, monitor health conditions, and respond to changes in patient status.
- Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to promote patient safety and continuity of care.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment.
🌙 Make Your Schedule Work for You
PRN nursing offers flexibility while helping our facility maintain dependable patient care coverage.
- Work 12-hour shifts based on facility scheduling and coverage needs.
- Availability for night shifts is required, but PRN opportunities are not limited to nights.
- Use online scheduling tools to view available shifts and communicate your availability in advance.
- PRN team members are asked to provide at least four available dates each month.
- Communicate holiday availability in advance whenever possible.
- Provide reliable coverage for all accepted and scheduled shifts.
- Scheduling needs vary based on facility size, staffing model, and coverage requirements. Full-time and part-time schedules receive priority.
Qualifications
✅ What Were Looking For
- Current, unrestricted North Carolina RN or LPN license.
- Sound clinical judgment and a commitment to quality patient care.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Dependability and flexibility to support facility coverage needs.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights when needed.
Correctional healthcare experience is welcome, but a willingness to learn and a commitment to compassionate care are essential.
