About this role

Are you a skilled, RVT with a passion for both clinical excellence and developing the people around you — and ready for a role that let's you do both?

Reidsville Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician Supervisor (RVT) to join our team and help lead, mentor, and develop our support staff as we continue to grow.

This is not a purely clinical role — and it’s not a purely administrative one either. It’s both. We’re looking for a confident, experienced technician who can walk into a surgery suite, manage anesthesia, and mentor junior staff on the same day. Someone who leads by example, communicates directly, holds the team to a high standard with empathy and consistency, and is genuinely energized by the opportunity to shape a team’s culture and capabilities.

Here’s what makes this opportunity different: Reidsville Veterinary Hospital isn’t a typical general practice. We’re a full-service, multi-doctor small animal hospital that offers a surgical and diagnostic scope most GPs can only refer out — and we’re continuing to grow our capabilities, our team, and our reach. The right supervisor here will inherit a team with real talent and real potential, and will have the full support of a management team that is actively invested in building something exceptional. If you’re a credentialed tech who has been informally leading for years and is ready to make it official — or a seasoned supervisor looking for a practice worthy of your skills — we’d love to talk.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide hands-on clinical support across exam room, outpatient, and surgical caseloads alongside the support staff team

- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery — and mentor others in doing the same

- Assist in surgery and dental procedures across a broad and advanced caseload including orthopedics, soft tissue, dentistry, and urgent care

- Coach, mentor, and develop veterinary technicians and assistants through ongoing feedback, training, and skill-building

- Collaborate with hospital management on policy and procedure development, enforcement, and team growth initiatives

- Flex schedule to 2nd and 3rd shifts occasionally as needed to support coverage and new staff training

- Support efficient workflow, team communication, and a positive, high-performing team culture

- Identify gaps in team knowledge or performance and address them proactively and constructively

- Serve as a resource and point of escalation for clinical questions and patient care concerns

Schedule and compensation:

- Compensation: $30 - $32 per hour, for each hour worked

- Schedule: This is a full-time position . Primary schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM , with occasional flex to 2nd or 3rd shift as needed for coverage and training support. No formal on-call requirements.

Full-time Benefits Package*:

- Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of North Carolina

- Employee Assistance Program

- 401k with company match
