The Security Officer I observes, detects, responds to, and reports suspicious and/or unusual incidents, such as security breaches, facility, and safety hazards, and emergency situations, to prevent any unlawful, unauthorized, unsafe or disruptive activity. This position, also, maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, patients, and visitors by monitoring CCTV system, conducting internal and external patrols.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

- De-escalates situations involving agitated or aggressive persons using established principles in deescalation, including potential application of physical restraints, to prevent safety hazards.
- Directs persons coming into the facility to obtain proper visitor passes and assists with directions; answers visitor's questions such as locations of various offices, rooms, and other areas.
- Observes, detects, responds to, and reports suspicious and unusual incidents such as security breaches, facility, and safety hazards, and emergencies, to prevent any unlawful, unauthorized, unsafe or disruptive activity.
- Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
- Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, patients, and visitors by monitoring CCTV Franciscan Alliance, conducting internal and external patrols and following established Franciscan Alliance protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

- High School Diploma/GED Required
- 1 year Safety & Security Preferred and
- 1 year Customer Service Preferred
- Driver's License Required Upon Hire
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) American Heart Association Required Within 180 Days
