Full-Time Caretaker Position

Campground of the Rockies Association (CORA) in Fairplay, Colorado is seeking a Full-Time Caretaker to join our mountain community.

CORA is a member-owned campground association with 515 lots, four campgrounds, a pool, tennis courts, trails, and a clubhouse. We are located at an elevation of 9,000–10,000 feet across from Lake Antero Reservoir in Park County, Colorado, adjacent to national forest and the Buffalo Peaks Wilderness Area.

Position: Facility Caretaker – Full-Time, Year-Round

Location: Campground of the Rockies, 6820 S. US Hwy 285, Fairplay, CO 80440

Position Description:

This is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining CORAs facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. Duties include general repairs, snow removal, equipment maintenance, building upkeep, and daily operational checks on water, sewer, and electrical systems. The caretaker also helps coordinate volunteers and seasonal work campers, monitors property and security systems, and supports the Board of Directors in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for CORA members and guests.

Requirements

Requirements:

Experience in general maintenance, construction, or facilities work

Ability to operate maintenance vehicles and light equipment (tractors, mowers, plows)

Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting skills

Self-motivated and dependable; able to work independently

Must have a valid drivers license

Propane license within 90 days

Good time management and organizational skills;
Knowledge of gate equipment and safety measures;
Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor
