This is an opportunity to use your analytical expertise and professional judgment to make a meaningful difference across an organization dedicated to serving others.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as Acting Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer, safeguarding confidential information and overseeing privacy and identity-protection initiatives.

- Investigate compliance concerns and coordinate regulatory reviews, external audits, and corrective actions.

- Promote a culture of ethics, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the Agency.

- Lead risk-based internal audits, financial reviews, and the Agency’s Federal Single Audit.

- Identify risks and recommend improvements to internal controls, operations, and fraud prevention.

- Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership, committees, and the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field.

- Three to five years of experience in internal auditing, compliance, or risk management; public or private accounting experience preferred.

- Knowledge of compliance, HIPAA, privacy, and fraud, waste, and abuse prevention.

- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining independence and confidentiality.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a valid New York State driver’s license, with the ability to travel throughout Long Island.

- A commitment to Catholic Social Teaching and the mission and values of Catholic Charities.
