- After-hours availability is required for major releases and critical incidents.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead technology projects, product enhancements and releases using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methods.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, product roadmaps and delivery priorities.
- Manage scope, risks, issues, actions, dependencies and overall delivery readiness.
- Partner with Operations, Retail, Shipment Resolution and agent management teams to understand frontline needs, develop business cases, and translate requirements into epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritise features, enhancements, defects and technical debt based on business value, risk and operational impact.
- Lead mobile application projects and deployments, coordinating development, testing, business readiness, field rollout, release management and post-production support.
- Provide direct people leadership for internal employees, including coaching, development, performance management, goal setting and ongoing support.
- Lead and coordinate external contract resources, establishing clear expectations, priorities, accountability and delivery standards.
- Build an engaged and collaborative team environment across internal employees and external delivery partners.
- Coordinate development, quality assurance, architecture, change management, implementation and production support activities.
- Facilitate project meetings and stakeholder discussions to resolve issues, drive decisions and maintain delivery momentum.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and resource plans, including internal capacity, external contract resources, vendor relationships and statements of work, where applicable.
- Apply project and product governance practices, including change control, risk management, decision tracking and appropriate documentation.
- Prepare clear, executive-ready status updates highlighting progress, risks, decisions and required actions.
- Support application stability by working with support, infrastructure, development and vendor teams on production issues, root-cause analysis, upgrades and continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI appropriately to support productivity and written communication, while maintaining a natural, personal communication style and avoiding over-reliance on AI-generated emails.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, product capabilities and overall delivery effectiveness.
Experience
- Five or more years of experience in technology project management, product management or product ownership within an enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience as a people leader with internal direct reports, including coaching, development, goal setting and performance management.
- Experience leading external contract resources and delivery partners, including resource planning, delivery oversight and performance expectations.
- Demonstrated experience managing mobile application projects and deployments through development, testing, rollout and production support.
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Experience translating business needs into business cases, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery priorities.
- Experience working with business, development, quality assurance, architecture, infrastructure and vendor teams.
- Strong project planning, risk management, governance, facilitation and organisational skills.
- Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, vendor management and statements of work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with frontline employees, technical teams, vendors and senior leaders.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into clear business language.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and proactively drive initiatives through to completion.
Preferred Experience

- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other enterprise AI productivity tools.

- Experience in courier, logistics, transportation, supply chain or another large-scale operational environment is an asset.
- PMP or an equivalent project management certification is preferred; Agile or product management certification is an asset.
- Deep engineering expertise is not required. However, the successful candidate should be technically comfortable participating in discussions involving mobile application architecture and deployments, APIs, integrations, cloud services, security, testing, production releases and application stability.
