For over a century, the Urner family and Urner’s have been an integral part of the Central Valley community, supporting local charities and providing exceptional service. We are a family business that has grown into one of the largest independent dealers of Major Home Appliances, Furniture, and Mattresses in the area. Because of unprecedented growth, we need to hire new retail salespeople to join our team. Our strategic partnership with BrandSource, a national buying group gives us $17B in buying power. We’re big enough to compete against the “box stores” but small enough to provide that white glove service that customers demand and expect in Fresno.
Job Requirements While previous sales experience in appliances, furniture or other big-ticket items is a plus, it is not required; what is essential for this role is an outgoing personality along with customer service experience and willingness to learn. Basically, if you have the energy to succeed and are committed to providing first class customer service, this is the position for you!
Additional Requirements:
- Energetic, self-motivated sales professional with exceptional interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
- High School graduate, or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedule, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Pleasant and polite manners when dealing with co-workers as well as customers
- Familiarity with basic sales techniques
- Basic reading, math, writing and communication skills
- A commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Ability to occasionally move and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including background check and drug testing, consistent with applicable law.
