Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Baptist Primary Care - Fleet Landing office in Atlantic Beach, Florida, just a short drive from the Jacksonville Beaches and the Intracoastal Waterway.
This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
The ideal candidate will perform a combination of back-office and front-office Medical Assistant duties. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting providers during patient visits, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide medical assistance to physicians and providers
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Greet, escort, and chaperone patients during medical visits
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Schedule appointments, treatments, and diagnostic tests as directed by providers
- Process prescription refill requests and referrals
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years of patient care experience required
- Experience working in a physician's office preferred
Education & Credential Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred
