About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections and 100% borescope inspections of tubes, machined components, and products with internal cavities.
- Inspect internal surfaces for FOD, burrs, scratches, and other defects or abnormalities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Document inspection results accurately and report nonconformances.
- Use precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, as required.
- Apply knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerances when evaluating components against specifications.
- Communicate discrepancies to Quality and Engineering teams and support resolution as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on proficiency in visual inspection and borescope inspection.
- Ability to identify FOD, burrs, and other internal defects.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Experience documenting inspection results and reporting nonconformances.
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Hawthorne, CA, on 1st shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or precision manufacturing inspection experience.
- Familiarity with GD&T and dimensional tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
- Experience inspecting machined components, tubing, and parts with complex internal geometries.
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.725 per mile driven). Untaxed.
