What you'll be doing

What we are looking for

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Lead Product Manager within our Global Product team. This position falls under our Cross Border line of business. and is located in London, Moorgate.

Corpay operates a global payment network connecting customers to banks, clearing systems and payment schemes across multiple markets and currencies. As that network expands, we need to be able to add and enhance payment connectivity quickly, predictably and at scale.

The Lead Product Manager – Payment Network Expansion & Integrations is responsible for turning Corpay's payment network priorities into delivered capability. You will lead the Product Managers responsible for individual bank and payment rail integrations and own the overall connectivity delivery portfolio: translating priorities into an executable roadmap, driving integrations through delivery, certification and launch, and establishing repeatable integration patterns so that each new connection becomes easier than the last. Your role is to bring the priorities together into a coherent delivery portfolio and ensure Corpay can execute against them effectively. The successful candidate will combine deep payments knowledge with strong product leadership and execution discipline. They must be comfortable moving between senior stakeholder discussions and the detailed realities of bank specifications, payment messages, certification, reconciliation and launch readiness.

You will report directly to the Director of Product Management and will regularly collaborate with various internal teams globally.

How We Work

As a Lead Product Manager, Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

- Assigned workspace in our designated London (Moorgate), UK office location
- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

Your responsibilities of the role will include:

1. Own the Payment Connectivity Delivery Roadmap

- Translate agreed Product, Commercial and Treasury priorities into a clear and executable connectivity roadmap.
- Maintain a single portfolio view across planned and active integrations.
- Assess proposed connectivity initiatives for delivery complexity, dependencies, capacity requirements and implementation risk.
- Provide stakeholders with the delivery and technical input required to support prioritisation and investment decisions.
- Sequence delivery based on agreed business priorities, dependencies, available capacity and execution risk.
- Ensure Product and Engineering resources are aligned against the highest-priority connectivity initiatives.
- Maintain clear ownership, milestones and delivery expectations across the portfolio.
- Provide senior stakeholders with concise and credible visibility of progress, risks, dependencies and decisions required.

2. Drive Bank & Payment Rail Integration Delivery

- Lead integrations from initial discovery and requirements through engineering delivery, bank or scheme certification, launch and post-launch stabilisation.
- Ensure individual Product Managers establish clear requirements, delivery plans, milestones and ownership.
- Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Treasury, Operations, Compliance, Risk and external partners to resolve dependencies and drive decisions.
- Identify delivery problems early and ensure they are actively managed rather than becoming late-stage surprises.
- Challenge unnecessary complexity and bespoke implementation.
- Drive issues to resolution where delivery spans multiple teams or ownership is unclear.
- Ensure certification and partner dependencies are understood and incorporated into delivery planning.
- Ensure launches meet agreed product, technical and operational readiness criteria.
- Establish strong post-launch ownership and ensure significant issues are resolved quickly.

3. Build a Repeatable Payment Integration Capability

- Define consistent product patterns for integrating banks, payment rails and schemes.
- Work with Engineering and Architecture to develop reusable technical capabilities and abstractions wherever appropriate.
- Establish common approaches covering payment initiation and message mapping; validation; acknowledgements and payment status; returns and rejects; reconciliation; settlement; exception handling; monitoring and support; and certification and launch readiness.
- Establish reusable requirements, documentation and integration playbooks.
- Identify opportunities to automate integration, testing and certification activities.
- Ensure lessons from each integration improve the approach used for subsequent connections.
- Develop meaningful measures of integration performance, including delivery predictability, time-to-certification and time-to-live.
- Continuously reduce the time, effort and risk involved in bringing new connectivity live.

4. Lead the Payment Connectivity Product Team

- Allocate clear ownership across the connectivity roadmap.
- Establish common ways of working and expectations across the team.
- Set a high bar for requirements quality, product judgement, planning, communication and execution.
- Coach Product Managers through complex delivery, technical and stakeholder challenges.
- Ensure individual PMs understand not only their integration but how it fits into the wider Corpay payment platform.
- Create an effective operating rhythm across the team for roadmap management, delivery reviews, risk management and escalation.
- Step into critical integrations when additional seniority or leadership is required without becoming the default delivery PM for every initiative.
- Develop a team capable of handling increasing integration volume without requiring proportional growth in Product capacity.

5. Partner with Payments Product Leadership

- Identify emerging capability gaps and opportunities based on the existing connectivity portfolio.
- Provide assessment of integration complexity, dependencies, delivery options and likely investment required.
- Identify where existing connectivity or reusable capabilities could meet a requirement without another bespoke integration.
- Provide evidence from existing integrations, partner performance and operational experience to inform network investment decisions.
- Advise on the feasibility and sequencing of proposed connectivity investments.
- Translate agreed priorities into an executable roadmap.

6. Partner with Treasury

- Work closely with Treasury as new banking partners and network capabilities are evaluated and implemented.
- Translate agreed banking and network decisions into product and integration requirements.
- Ensure integrations support required funding, settlement, liquidity, account structures and operational models.
- Provide Treasury with clear visibility of integration progress, dependencies and issues.
- Work jointly with Treasury and external banking partners throughout onboarding, certification and launch.
- Ensure Product, Engineering and Treasury responsibilities are explicit throughout delivery.

7. Ensure Operational Readiness & Resilience

- Ensure new connectivity has appropriate monitoring, support processes, operational ownership and escalation paths before go-live.
- Work with Operations to establish scalable BAU processes rather than partner-specific manual workarounds.
- Ensure reconciliation, exception management and payment-status processes are understood and operationally viable.
- Use post-launch performance and incident data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure recurring operational problems feed back into the connectivity roadmap and reusable platform capabilities.

Experience & Background

- Significant product management or product delivery experience within payments, banking infrastructure or financial technology.
- Strong practical experience delivering bank, payment rail, clearing or scheme integrations.
- Experience managing multiple complex integrations or infrastructure initiatives concurrently.
- Strong understanding of the payment lifecycle, including initiation, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, payment status, returns and exceptions.
- Working knowledge of payment messaging and standards, including ISO 20022.
- Experience working directly with banks, processors, payment schemes or other network participants through integration and certification.
- Evidence of creating reusable integration patterns, processes or platform capabilities rather than repeatedly delivering bespoke implementations.
- Experience leading, coaching or coordinating Product Managers or comparable delivery professionals.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure, transparency and momentum to complex delivery environments.
- Experience operating across Product, Engineering, Treasury, Operations, Compliance and Risk in a regulated environment.
- Experience working directly with Treasury, settlement or liquidity teams would be advantageous.

Critical Competencies

Execution Leadership

- Creates momentum, exposes problems early, drives decisions and holds teams accountable for delivery.

Portfolio Management

- Can manage multiple integrations as a coherent portfolio rather than treating each as an independent project.

Payments Expertise

- Understands payment rails, bank connectivity, clearing and settlement sufficiently deeply to challenge requirements and identify problems.

Platform Thinking

- Constantly looks for reusable capabilities, standards and abstractions rather than accepting bespoke implementation as the default.

Product Judgement

- Understands the customer and business rationale behind connectivity decisions and can contribute effectively to prioritisation without losing focus on execution.

Team Leadership

- Raises the capability of Product Managers around them and establishes clear ownership, standards and ways of working.

Executive Communication

- Can explain complex delivery situations simply and credibly: what is happening, why it matters, what is at risk and what decision is required.

Cross-Functional Influence

- Can drive outcomes across Product, Engineering, Treasury, Operations and external partners without relying solely on organisational authority.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days – Establish Control

- The complete payment connectivity portfolio is understood and visible; ownership across the three Product Managers is clear; a single prioritised delivery roadmap is established; current integration bottlenecks and recurring causes of delay are identified; delivery governance, stakeholder reporting and escalation mechanisms are operating effectively; and initial opportunities for standardisation and reuse are agreed with Engineering and Architecture.

By 3 Months – Improve Execution

- Integration delivery is materially more predictable; senior stakeholders have confidence in roadmap commitments and delivery reporting; common requirements, integration and launch patterns are being used across new integrations; delivery metrics including time-to-certification and time-to-live are established; reusable capabilities are beginning to replace repeated partner-specific implementation; and the existing Product Managers are operating effectively as a coherent team.

By 6 Months – Scale the Capability

- The time and effort required to launch new payment connectivity has materially reduced; new integrations predominantly follow established patterns and reuse common platform capabilities; portfolio delivery is predictable and transparent; Corpay can execute more payment connectivity initiatives without proportional increases in Product and Engineering effort; and the payment connectivity team has become a scalable execution capability for the wider Payments strategy.

What This Role Is Not

- This is not a fourth integration PM. The role leads the portfolio and the Product Managers responsible for individual integrations.
- It is not the owner of Corpay’s banking network strategy or banking relationships. Those responsibilities sit with Treasury.
- It is not a programme management role. Delivery discipline is essential, but the role also owns the product standards, integration model and evolution of the connectivity capability.
- It is not a purely managerial role. The person must have sufficient payments and integration expertise to get into the detail, challenge teams and personally unblock difficult problems when necessary.

The successful candidate will leave Corpay with a fundamentally better way of delivering payment connectivity: faster, more predictable, more reusable and capable of scaling with the growth of the global Payments business.
