What you'll do
- Manage your own caseload of OIC and MOJ portal claims from instruction through to settlement or litigation.
- Be comfortable dealing with bodily injury claims that fall outside of the portal.
- Liaise directly with clients, claimants, and third parties to progress cases efficiently.
- Handle indemnity, liability and quantum investigations and disputes.
- Review medical records and expert reports to accurately value general and special damages.
- Identify and refer fraudulent activity and questionable underwriting.
- Identify and refer large loss flags.
- Actively seek opportunities to technically progress.
- Support a Team Leader.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience (3+ years) handling motor-related bodily injury claims from inception through to settlement.
- Familiarity with government-linked personal injury frameworks and portals, including Official Injury Claim (OIC) and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) claims services.
- Knowledge of the differing jurisdictions in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
- Technical knowledge of UK motor insurance coverages, bodily injury, the Pre-Action Protocol and Civil Procedure Rules. Knowledge of handling procedures in other jurisdictions is desirable but not required.
- Deep understanding of indemnity, liability assessment, and quantum.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively represent Prima.
- Strong attention to detail, with a problem-solving attitude.
- Comfortable working in a growing / scale-up business environment.
