Job Summary
The Portfolio Manager manages a portfolio of reinsurance contracts and accounts, from establishing and maintaining contractual data to processing accounts and claims information, managing related cash flows, performing controls and resolving discrepancies. The role works closely with underwriters, claims experts, cedents, brokers and other stakeholders, supports underwriting-related administrative activities and contributes to accurate, timely and compliant portfolio management.
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
- Relevant professional experience in insurance or reinsurance operations, technical accounting, underwriting support, claims, finance or controlling.
- Limited reinsurance experience or, alternatively, strong insurance experience with a solid understanding of insurance contracts, accounting flows and operational processes.
- Ability to manage an assigned portfolio with a good level of autonomy and to resolve discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power Query and reporting tools such as BusinessObjects, Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
- Good numerical reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and spoken English; knowledge of an additional European language is an advantage.

Required education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, International Business or another relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
