Work Environment This is a field-based role that involves daily travel to different project sites throughout the state of Connecticut. The Energy Technician works primarily on customer premises, partnering with a lead technician at each site to conduct audits, testing, and installations. Most workdays are spent in the field rather than in an office, although the technician occasionally visits the office for team meetings, training, and program updates. The position requires frequent driving, so a valid drivers license and reliable transportation are essential. Mileage reimbursement is provided, which can significantly increase overall weekly compensation. Work is hands-on and may involve entering mechanical and electrical areas, using diagnostic equipment, and handling materials and tools. The environment emphasizes safety, professionalism, and respect for customer property, with adherence to OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.
