Overview
At PGA TOUR Superstore, we’re always looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible individuals who will share a passion for helping transform our business. As one of the fastest growing specialty retailers, we’re dedicated to hiring selfless team players from different backgrounds to influence the growth of our organization. Part of the Arthur M. Blank Family of Businesses, PGA TOUR Superstore continuously strives to create a family culture for our Associates – driven by our vision to inspire people through golf and tennis.
Position Summary
We're looking for a modern digital leader to own and transform how golfers discover, shop and connect with PGA TOUR Superstore across web, mobile and our app, and into our stores.
You know how the full digital ecosystem fits together, from acquisition and site experience to app, CRM, customer data and fulfillment, and you know how to turn those pieces into one connected customer journey. You've run a merchant driven retail business online. You've built and rebuilt teams. Most importantly, you have a track record of transforming a digital organization, not just maintaining one.
This is a business leader role first. But you should be able to run digital commerce like a P&L owner, you're technically fluent enough to challenge engineers and vendors on architecture and delivery, and you make every investment decision on the numbers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Commercial Performance & P&L: Own the digital P&L end to end: demand, conversion, AOV, gross margin and contribution margin after media, fulfillment and returns.
- Build and run the operating rhythm: KPI tree, weekly business reviews, forecasting and reforecasting in partnership with Finance.
- Manage the margin levers: promotional depth, markdown, free shipping thresholds, cost per order, fulfillment mix and return rates.
- Allocate digital marketing investment on return, using CAC, ROAS, MER, LTV to CAC and incrementality, and shift spend quickly to what's working.
- Build business cases for technology and growth investments, then track and report the ROI after launch.
- Identify and develop new revenue streams such as retail media, marketplace and vendor funded programs.
- Digital Platform & Technology: Set the digital and ecommerce vision and multiyear roadmap across web, mobile web and our mobile app.
- Co-own the commerce technology roadmap with Technology: platform, search and recommendations, OMS, PIM, payments, CDP and app releases, so every piece connects to the next.
- Bring a modern architecture point of view (headless and composable commerce, APIs, cloud services) and lead build, buy or partner decisions.
- Own site and app performance: speed, Core Web Vitals, uptime, checkout reliability and SEO health.
- Run digital like a product organization, with clear backlogs, release cadence, QA discipline and a true test and learn culture.
- Apply AI practically across search, recommendations, content, service and marketing operations, with clear measures of value.
- Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation and partner performance management across the digital stack.
- Ecommerce & Digital Merchandising: Run the online store as a merchant driven business, partnering with Merchandising on assortment, product content, onsite merchandising, search, pricing and promotional execution.
- Bring brand launches, vendor partnerships and key product moments to life online in ways that drive both excitement and sell through.
- Drive operational excellence in product data quality, inventory accuracy and fulfillment speed, in partnership with Supply Chain and Customer Service.
- Omnichannel Customer Experience: Design seamless journeys that connect online and in store: buy online pick up in store, ship from store, endless aisle, store inventory visibility and booking for services like club fittings and lessons.
- Make the app a reason to engage between store visits through loyalty, personalized offers, content and services, and a useful companion when customers are in store.
- Use journey mapping, UX research and voice of customer insight to continuously remove friction and lift conversion.
- Partner with Store Operations so digital and stores win together, with shared goals and clear credit for omnichannel sales.
- Customer Data & Personalization: Partner on our customer data strategy, using first party data, loyalty and CDP capabilities to build a single view of the customer.
- Lead personalization across site, app, email, SMS and push, moving from segment based marketing to individualized experiences.
- Build lifecycle programs across acquisition, onboarding, retention and win back, with clear measurement for each.
- Establish a measurement framework covering attribution, incrementality testing and executive dashboards that shows what's working and where to invest.
- Champion privacy, consent and data governance in partnership with Legal and Technology.
- Team Leadership & Transformation: Assess, build and lead a high performing digital team spanning ecommerce, digital marketing, CRM, product and UX, and analytics.
- Reshape roles, skills and ways of working to fit a modern digital organization, including agile, cross functional teams with a product mindset.
- Coach and grow talent, build bench strength, and create a culture of curiosity, accountability and speed.
- Manage agency and technology partners and own the digital budget.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA a plus.
- 12+ years in digital and ecommerce, including 5+ years leading at Director level or above, ideally in specialty retail, sporting goods or a merchant driven omnichannel retailer.
- A proven transformation story: you've modernized a digital ecosystem and team and can show the measurable results (growth, conversion, app adoption, margin).
- Business acumen: you've owned a digital P&L at scale and delivered profitable growth, not just top line growth, and you speak fluently with merchants, vendors and Finance.
- Technical depth: you've led a replatform or major commerce implementation and understand headless and composable architecture, APIs, OMS, PIM, CDP and app development well enough to challenge engineers and vendors.
- Analytical rigor: you're comfortable in the data yourself (GA4 or Adobe Analytics, BI tools, testing platforms) and build decisions on experimentation and incrementality.
- Deep working knowledge of the modern martech stack: enterprise commerce platforms, CDP, ESP, search and recommendations, paid, social and retail media.
- Experience owning a mobile app roadmap and growing active users and app driven revenue.
- Hands on with customer data: segmentation, personalization, loyalty, lifecycle marketing and measurement.
- Practical experience applying AI in commerce and marketing, with results to show for it.
- Track record of building business cases, negotiating with technology vendors and holding partners accountable.
- Real omnichannel experience connecting digital to physical stores.
- A people leader who builds teams and culture and leads change with clarity and empathy.
- Executive presence; able to align senior leaders across Technology, Merchandising, Finance, Stores and Legal.
- A passion for or knowledge of golf is a genuine plus. The game is seeing new audiences, new formats and new energy, and someone who understands the community and culture will hit the ground running. What matters most is your ability to learn a business deeply and build great digital experiences around it.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Monday – Friday onsite, based out of our Roswell, GA Store Support Center. Flexibility to work extended and varied hours as needed including occasional weekend or holiday work.
- Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
- undefined Travel: Up to 10% of travel is required to visit stores, vendor partners, and attend industry events. Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
