About this role

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team.

In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of mechanical design and development for complex multidisciplinary machines, from concept and architecture through detailed design, prototyping, integration, testing, and transfer to production.

You will work closely with R&D, Electronics, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to develop robust, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical solutions.

What you will do

- Lead mechanical design and development activities from concept through product implementation and production.

- Design complex mechanical components, assemblies, machine structures, precision motion systems, and mechanical interfaces.

- Create detailed designs using SolidWorks, including complex assemblies, drawings, tolerances, and BOMs.

- Perform engineering analysis and simulations, including FEA and CFD, to support structural, thermal, mechanical, and fluid-flow design.

- Drive hands-on prototyping, assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.

- Apply DFM/DFA and design-to-cost principles while working with a wide range of manufacturing technologies and materials.

- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful system integration.

- Work with subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers throughout development and transfer to production.

- Support existing R&D platforms and production machinery, including engineering changes, continuous improvement, quality, and reliability activities.

What you bring

- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.

- 7+ years of mechanical R&D experience designing complex multidisciplinary industrial machinery, including design, analysis, prototyping, integration, and testing.

- Proven ability to lead end-to-end mechanical development, from concept and architecture through detailed design, integration, and production.

- Experience in industrial inkjet and/or 3D printing systems is a significant advantage.

- Expert-level SolidWorks skills, including complex assemblies, drawings, tolerances, and BOMs.

- Working knowledge of SolidWorks EPDM/PDM systems and engineering release workflows.

- Experience with FEA and CFD simulations using SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, or equivalent tools.

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, sheet metal, aluminum extrusions and castings, injection molding, rotational molding, and tooling.

- Experience with DFM/DFA and design-to-cost methodologies.

- Hands-on experience in prototyping, assembly, integration, testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.

- Experience working with subcontractors, manufacturers, and suppliers, including technical documentation and transfer to production.

- Experience supporting R&D platforms and serial-production machinery.

- High level of English, both written and spoken.
