Blue Ridge Energy is seeking a skilled Vehicle & Hydraulic Mechanic to support our Watauga District fleet. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the vehicles and specialized equipment our crews depend on every day to serve members across the High Country.
What You'll Do
- Repair and maintain trucks, heavy equipment, bucket trucks, and digger derricks
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and major mechanical repairs
- Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic equipment
- Complete DOT, state, and hydraulic inspections
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repair needs
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
What You'll Bring
- At least 3 years of vehicle mechanic experience
- Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrains, brakes, and hydraulic systems
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Valid CDL and safe driving record required
