You will work closely with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to transform engineering concepts into accurate, constructible designs using Revit and AutoCAD, with exposure to advanced tools such as Navisworks Manage, Autodesk ReCap, and point-cloud data for retrofit and existing-facility projects. Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed 3D structural models in Revit and precise 2D drawings in AutoCAD for new construction, facility modifications, and existing facilities.
- Prepare comprehensive structural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and construction details.
- Design and detail structural steel framing, concrete elements, foundations, equipment supports, platforms, stairs, ladders, connections, and miscellaneous metals.
- Translate engineering calculations, specifications, sketches, and field measurements into accurate, coordinated drawings and models.
- Coordinate structural designs with mechanical, electrical, civil, process, and other engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated project deliverables.
- Participate in model coordination and design reviews using Navisworks Manage to identify and resolve clashes and constructability issues.
- Utilize Autodesk ReCap and point-cloud or laser-scan data to support existing-facility and retrofit projects.
- Support site visits, facility walkdowns, and field surveys to verify existing conditions and gather design information.
- Update structural models and drawings based on field verification, site observations, and laser-scan data.
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers throughout design development and drawing production to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Provide examples of previous design work when requested to demonstrate capabilities and experience.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience using Navisworks Manage for model coordination and design reviews.
- Experience with Autodesk ReCap for processing and using point-cloud data.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Vault for design data management.
- Hands-on experience working with point clouds and laser scanning for existing-facility documentation.
- Experience with existing-facility modifications and retrofit projects.
- Experience supporting DOE, DoD, nuclear, or other highly regulated projects.
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing facilities and their structural requirements.
- Exposure to site walkdowns and field verification activities.
- Field, fabrication, or construction experience that informs practical and constructible design solutions.
