About this role

We believe in bold ideas, diverse perspectives, and the drive to transform knowledge into impact. Here, your curiosity fuels progress, your voice shapes innovation, and your ambition helps redefine what’s possible within science and learning. We are a culture that obsesses over impact, challenges, and drives what’s next to power infinite possibilities for our customers, colleagues and society at large.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our Marketing Technology & WebOps team. In this role, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform to design, build, and optimize marketing technology solutions that power Wiley's global marketing operations. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and product owners to create complex applications and integrations, while leading and mentoring a development team to deliver at the highest quality standards across both functional and non-functional areas.

What You Will Do

- Lead solution design and hands-on development across the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem, with a particular focus on Pardot (Account Engagement), Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (SFMC), and Salesforce Account Engagement (SFAE)
- Architect and deliver integration solutions connecting Salesforce with enterprise platforms such as CRM, CMS, analytics tools, CDPs, and data warehouses using iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier, Workato), APIs, and ETL/ELT patterns
- Serve as the technical authority for marketing technology decisions: evaluating trade-offs, defining standards, and ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions
- Lead and guide offshore and onshore development teams, conducting code reviews, enforcing best practices, and driving continuous improvement
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into technical designs and delivery plans
- Own the end-to-end solution lifecycle: from discovery and design through build, testing, deployment, and post-launch support
- Ensure commitment to quality by establishing and upholding standards for performance, security, data integrity, and documentation
- Contribute to the platform roadmap by identifying opportunities for automation, consolidation, and innovation across the MarTech stack

What We Are Looking For

- 8+ years of experience in Salesforce development and solution architecture, with significant hands-on build experience (not purely advisory)
- Deep expertise in Pardot / Salesforce Account Engagement: automation rules, engagement studio, scoring models, custom redirects, API integrations, and B2B Marketing Analytics
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC): Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPscript, SQL, and data extensions
- Proven experience designing and implementing integrations using middleware and iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Informatica, Dell Boomi, Zapier, Workato, or Tray.io, as well as native Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Experience leading or managing development teams in an Agile delivery environment
- Solid understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and CRM data flows within a Salesforce ecosystem
- Familiarity with adjacent marketing and analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, CDPs, BigQuery, AEM, Webflow) is a strong plus
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant, Pardot Specialist, Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) are highly desirable

What Will Set You Apart

- Experience working in a large, global publishing, media, or education company
- Track record of managing vendor and offshore delivery teams alongside internal engineering
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- A proactive mindset: you identify problems and opportunities before they are escalated to you
