About this role

Chrysalis Records/Blue Raincoat Music is a leading independent music company headquartered in London and New York. Along with our US partner Reservoir Media, we own the legendary Chrysalis and Tommy Boy catalogues, and we also represent artists through our management arm Blue Raincoat Artists, and publishing via Blue Raincoat Music Publishing.

The Position

As Day-to-Day Manager, you will work closely with Amy Frenchum and her roster of artists, supporting all aspects of their careers. This is a hands-on role that requires a highly organised, proactive and solutions-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who remains calm under pressure, demonstrates sound judgement and takes initiative to get things done. You will bring a positive, collaborative approach to your work, anticipate challenges and take ownership of projects through completion.

We are looking for someone with a modern, forward-thinking approach to artist management who understands that the role extends beyond traditional administrative responsibilities. You will be actively involved in creative strategy, social media, content development, promotional campaigns, budgeting, travel, touring and the overall day-to-day management of artists. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Day-to-Day Artist Management

- Manage artists' daily schedules, calendars and commitments, ensuring effective coordination of meetings, travel, releases, campaigns and other key activities.
- Serve as a central point of contact for artists, management and external partners, facilitating clear and timely communication across teams.
- Proactively anticipate challenges, identify solutions and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure artists are organised, informed and prepared for upcoming commitments and activities.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities, managing tasks from planning through execution.
- Keep the Lead Manager informed of key developments, priorities and decisions.
- Support the Lead Manager in implementing broader artist management strategies and initiatives.

Creative & Content

- Support the development and execution of creative content and social media strategies that strengthen artists' brands and audience engagement.
- Contribute innovative ideas for content, digital campaigns and emerging promotional opportunities.
- Assist with capturing, organising, editing and publishing content across digital platforms, as needed.
- Stay informed of emerging social media platforms, digital trends and content formats relevant to artist development.
- Collaborate with artists and their teams to ensure content aligns with broader creative, promotional and commercial objectives.
- Provide basic photo and video editing support when needed.

Promotion & Campaigns

- Coordinate promotional activities surrounding music releases, projects, live performances and other artist initiatives.
- Organise and attend promotional appearances, interviews, content shoots and media commitments, both remotely and in person, as required.
- Liaise with external partners, including publicists, labels, promoters and creative teams, to ensure effective coordination and execution.
- Prepare artists for promotional commitments by providing schedules, briefings and relevant materials.
- Monitor promotional deliverables and timelines to ensure commitments are communicated, coordinated and completed.

Budgeting & Financial Management

- Develop, manage and track budgets for artist projects, promotional campaigns, content production, travel and touring.
- Maintain accurate records of expenditures, financial commitments, invoices and outstanding payments.
- Collaborate with the Lead Manager and relevant teams to establish budgets and ensure spending remains within approved parameters.
- Monitor project expenses, identify potential budget variances and proactively flag unexpected costs.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes, compare costs and exercise sound financial judgement when making spending recommendations.
- Coordinate expense tracking, invoice processing and payment documentation.
- Prepare clear and accurate budget reports and financial updates for the Lead Manager.
- Utilise spreadsheets and financial tracking tools to maintain organised and accurate records.

Travel & Touring

- Coordinate and support artist travel, touring schedules and promotional activities, both domestically and internationally.
- Accompany artists to selected performances, promotional engagements and touring commitments, as required.
- Manage logistical arrangements and respond effectively to last-minute schedule changes or unexpected challenges.
- Maintain a calm, professional and solutions-focused approach while working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the evolving demands of artist schedules and touring activities.
- Remain attentive to artists' needs and overall well-being, providing thoughtful and proactive support.

Qualifications

- Approximately 4 years of experience in artist management, day-to-day management, the music or entertainment industry, or a closely related field.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative and exercise discretion while maintaining clear communication with management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with artists, management teams and external partners while respecting established relationships.
- Flexible, hands-on and adaptable approach, with a willingness to support responsibilities at all levels.
