Join us—Where your Career is a Force for Good!
Job Description:
Joining The American Red Cross is like nothing else – it’s as much something you feel as something you do. You become a vital part of the world’s largest humanitarian network. Joining a team of welcoming individuals who are exceptional, yet unassuming. Diverse, yet uncompromising in unity. You grow your career within a movement that matters, where success is measured in people helped, communities made whole, and individuals equipped to never stop changing lives and situations for the better.
When you choose to be a force for good, you’ll have mentors who empower your growth along a purposeful career path. You align your life’s work with an ongoing mission that’s bigger than all of us. As you care for others, you’re cared for with competitive compensation and benefits. You join a community that respects who you are away from work as much as what you do while at work.
Where Your Career is a Force for Good!
Summary:
As a Marketing Associate, you’ll support the execution and evolution of our donor loyalty and marketing code programs across digital and onsite touchpoints. Working closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager, you'll help bring campaigns, content, and donor experiences to market while coordinating with a range of cross-functional partners. You'll play a key role in ensuring messaging and visuals are clear, consistent, and effective across channels. Success in this role comes from combining creativity, organization, and attention to detail to continuously enhance the donor experience.
Our Ideal Candidate:
You’ve built a strong foundation of marketing experience and know how to turn strategy into creative work that captures attention and inspires action. You’re a strong, marketing-focused copywriter who can make complex information clear and engaging, and you bring thoughtful design direction that helps shape how ideas come to life. Consistency matters to you, so when the email, the poster, and the website say three slightly different things, you spot it and straighten it out. These strengths are central to your day-to-day work. You have opinions about clarity, too: a paragraph where a sentence would do, a call to action nobody understands, or an email that buries the point. You’re steady with details, good at closing loops, and while loyalty experience is a plus, curiosity about why donors come back counts for more.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the creative assets, content, and messaging for the loyalty and digital marketing codes programs, keeping the donor experience accurate and consistent across channels.
- Shape how program strategies come to life by writing clear, engaging marketing copy and guiding the creative development of donor-facing materials.
- Support the planning and execution of campaigns, promotions and go-to-market strategies from concept through launch, working with creative, targeted marketing, operations, and IT partners.
- Manage and enhance loyalty experiences in the Blood Donor App and on the website, including messaging, dashboards, widgets, marketing codes and other engagement features.
- Develop the program materials donors see at donation centers and blood drives, coordinating with the project managers who own the overall onsite experience.
- Create program communications and maintain the asset libraries, resources, and updates that program managers, field teams and internal partners rely on.
- Collaborate with customer care and social care teams to answer questions, gather donor feedback and identify opportunities to improve the donor experience.
- Monitor campaign performance, donor behavior and key program metrics; prepare reports and apply insights to improve future initiatives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, Business, Communications, Marketing or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years related experience required. Prior direct marketing experience strongly desired, especially in campaign development, creative asset management and digital experience.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to assimilate information quickly, analyze problems, and implement solutions required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Travel may be required.
The salary range for position is $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 / annually.
Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed.
