Customer Service Representative Bartender

Job Summary:

Under limited supervision, the bartender is responsible for providing excellent guest experience while accurately preparing and responsibly serving beverages to guests and members. Follows standard recipes, mixes ingredients and prepares cocktails and other drinks. Offers and may serve food items to guests, collects payment for drinks served and maintains bar area clean, sanitary and organized

Duties/Responsibilities :

- Opens and closes bar stations for dedicated shift..

- Welcomes and greet bar guests upon sitting.

- Take beverage orders from Guests while making drinks for all service staff

- Prepares cocktails and serves other drinks including non alcoholic beverages

- Make recommendations to Guests based on a thorough knowledge of The Plex's beer, wine, food and beverage offerings.

- Provides excellent customer service ensuring guests have a delightful experience.

- Present bills, accept payments, operates POS system, upholding strict cash handling procedures and accountability for all transactions.

- Able to respond to guest complaints.

- Check identification of guests in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.

- Clean bars, work areas, bar equipment, remove dishes and glasses from bar and take to dish area for cleaning.

- Ensure 100% compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards.

- Perform other duties as assigned by Management staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Basic math skills

- Basic understanding of beer, wine, and spirits.

- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism when interacting with guests and dealing with guest complaints.

- Have an up to date RBS Certificate

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum of 2-3 year experience in bartending strongly preferred.

- Restaurant or hospitality industry.

- Experience and ability to handle money and proficiency in operating a point-of-sale system

Physical Requirements:

- Stand for duration of work shift.

- Bend, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Prolonged periods of walking.
