The Slot Technician I plays an essential role in delivering a smooth, reliable, and enjoyable gaming experience by supporting the maintenance and operation of electronic gaming devices across the casino floor. Your hands‑on technical skill, attention to detail, and commitment to keeping machines functioning at peak performance ensure guests can enjoy uninterrupted play in a safe and engaging environment. Through professional interactions, timely repairs, and adherence to regulatory and operational standards, you help uphold the integrity of our gaming operations and contribute to the exceptional service experience that defines the Live! brand.
Responsibilities
Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Repair and maintain electronic gaming devices on the casino floor.
- Repair and maintain electronic gaming devices in the slot technical repair shop.
- Participate in installation, movement, repair, and removal of electronic gaming devices.
- Maintain proper gaming logs in order to comply with state and or internal regulations.
- Ensure an enjoyable gaming experience for guests of Live! Casino and Hotel by maintaining the gaming equipment at the top level of proper operation.
- Ensure interaction with guests is friendly, cooperative and professional.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed:
- Knowledge of hand tools and electronic testing devices.
- Ability to write technical statements.
- Ability to read simple instructions.
- Ability to do routine troubleshooting.
- Ability to repair gaming devices.
- Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
Physical Requirements:
- 5% Sitting
- 15% Standing
- 80% Walking
- Casino is over 300,000 square feet and requires ability and energy to move about it with a true sense of urgency.
- Use of going up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and elevators.
Working Conditions:
- 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
