About this role

Who We Are

Noze has digitized the sense of smell. We’ve done for the nose what the camera did for the eyes and the microphone did for the ears. It took six years and some help from NASA, but we did it. Now it’s time for us to bring it to the world.

Are you passionate about elevating human health & well-being? Are you curious about how the human body works, the mechanisms behind it, and how we can capture it?

People who succeed at Noze have a sense of urgency, a ton of initiative, infinite curiosity, a strong internal drive, and an enthusiasm for technology. If you’re bursting with fresh ideas and want to join a company in its journey to change the status quo, then this opportunity is for you!

- Prepare, handle, and track gases and mixture originating from gas cylinders, desorption tubes, permeation tubes or other sources.
- Execute standardized analytical testing protocols to evaluate sensor response, material stability, and other chemical characterization metrics.
- Process analytical test data, perform basic statistical evaluations, and document quantitative and qualitative findings as per relevant ISO and CLSI guidelines.
- Maintain laboratory safety and compliance records, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), chemical inventory logs, equipment calibration schedules, and SDS/WHMIS requirements.
- Support quality assurance and quality control initiatives in alignment with laboratory standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sensor team, Machine Intelligence team and product development team, to support experimental workflows and communicate testing outcomes.

What You Need

- Diploma (DEC) in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field.
- 1 to 3 years of practical laboratory experience operating analytical equipment.
- Hands-on experience with gas/vapor sampling techniques and volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis is a plus.
