About this role

Job Description

Partner Sales Manager on the Partnerships & Alliances team at Thomson Reuters, you will own reseller and distributor sales for the Legal market in the Americas and be accountable for your sales targets. You will turn partner relationships into customer bookings with law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal buyers, building channel partners that bring Thomson Reuters’ legal solutions to more customers than a direct team could reach. You will work closely with Partner Development Managers on partnership strategy, Partner Solutions Architects on technical complexity, and sales leadership on market results.

[Insert travel or relocation information if applicable.]

Key Responsibilities

Own sales execution and bookings targets for the Legal reseller and distribution channel in the Americas, driving results through resellers, distributors, co-sell motions, and direct sales where appropriate. Establish the governance cadence and deal management process that keeps Thomson Reuters, partners, and customers aligned on delivery.

Build reseller-led pipeline by identifying, cultivating, and executing resale, referral, and co-sell opportunities that combine Thomson Reuters capabilities with partner services. Qualify deals early and remove obstacles to close.

Drive deal velocity and win rates on partner-sourced and partner-influenced opportunities by aligning scoping, pricing, and discounting across Thomson Reuters, the partner, and the customer. Manage quote-to-order with Deal Desk, Finance, and Contracts to resolve pricing, margin, and contractual issues.

Lead a portfolio of reseller and distributor relationships by onboarding new partners, including small and emerging ones, setting performance expectations, and evaluating results against bookings, pipeline, certification, and customer success measures.

Engage senior leaders at partner organizations and support them in reaching target buyers, such as General Counsel, Legal Operations leaders, Managing Partners, and Chief Innovation Officers, while coordinating channel and direct coverage with Thomson Reuters account teams.

Develop theater go-to-market plans with partner marketing, including account-based campaigns, vertical plays, and multi-year strategies that expand adoption and drive renewal and expansion sales.

Maintain accurate pipeline, deal registration, partner attribution, and forecasts in Salesforce, and report theater metrics such as sales, win rates, deal size, and sales cycle to leadership, escalating risks and opportunities as they arise.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

5+ years of experience in partner or channel sales, reseller or distributor management, alliance management, or enterprise sales, with a record of meeting or exceeding quota.

Demonstrated success selling through resellers, distributors, value-added resellers (VARs), or other indirect channels in B2B software or professional services, including managing partner margin, discount, and pricing structures.

Experience executing co-sell and partner-led sales motions with large consulting, technology, or channel partners.

Proficiency with Salesforce, deal registration, and partner attribution processes, with strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline.

Core competencies: building relationships with senior executives at partners and enterprise buyers, managing multiple partner relationships across tiers, collaborating across product, marketing, finance, and deal desk teams, and communicating clearly in customer and partner settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling into legal, tax, audit, or professional services markets, including law firms, corporate legal departments, or government legal buyers.

Experience managing channel conflict and partner program structures, such as partner tiers, rebates, incentives, market development funds, and certifications.

Familiarity with legal technology or legal information resellers and distributors across the Americas, including regional and language-specific markets.

Familiarity with AI-enabled or emerging technology partnerships (for example, Anthropic or AWS) and cloud marketplace procurement models.

Prior experience in a partner development, alliance, or channel management role.
