Job Summary
The EHS Corporate Compliance Specialist provides independent, Corporate-level assurance that EHS controls are working in the field across Loenbro's Regions. The role serves in the lead auditor pool for the COMPASS Audit Program and validates the results of Region-led internal evaluations. It also verifies that corrective actions are closed and effective.
Outside COMPASS audit and regional evaluation work, the Specialist is a force multiplier for regional compliance. The role performs frequent Corporate Compliance audits, facilitates high-level TapRooT® investigations as needed, and supports EHS integration of current and future acquisitions. The Specialist also keeps the Region current on state-specific regulations.
The position helps build the internal audit, corrective action and documentation practices required for ISO 45001 compliance.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.

- Inspect areas including lockout/tagout, permits and job forms, work habits, facilities and construction sites.
- Document inspections and audits promptly and issue high-level audit reports.

- Feed field insights and Best Practices back into Corporate programs and the Corporate Risk Register.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging safety technologies.
Independence and reporting relationships
The Specialist reports through Corporate EHS Compliance and Integration, not through Regional leadership. That reporting line gives Corporate EHS the capacity and independence to validate results consistently.
- Reporting line: Reports directly to the EHS Corporate Compliance and Integration Manager.
- Regional EHS teams: Keep their current role in daily inspections, JHAs and routine compliance. The Specialist partners with them on closeout follow-up, internal evaluations and does not replace them.
- COMPASS independence: A Specialist does not lead the COMPASS audit of their own home Region and does not lead the same Region's audit twice in a row.
- Classification Authority: Findings are classified to Corporate criteria. Regional leadership holds no classification authority over its own findings.
- Cross-region work: The Specialist works across Regions as business needs require, including audits, investigations and integration support.
