Athletic Fields Groundskeeper

Help make every practice and game start on a well-prepared field

Saint Edward’s School is seeking an Athletic Fields Groundskeeper whose primary responsibility is the care and preparation of campus sports fields. This position also supports the Maintenance team with campus projects.

What you will do

- Mow, trim and maintain field surfaces and prepare markings for practices and competition.

- Inspect fields for wear, drainage issues and hazards; report concerns promptly.

- Care for equipment and assist with irrigation checks, turf repairs and approved campus projects.

Schedule and work setting

Regular weekly hours with year-round work status.  The work involves physical activity and assigned safety procedures. This position works primarily outdoors in Florida heat and changing weather.

Qualifications

What you bring

Two years of relevant grounds, turf, golf course or athletic field experience, or equivalent practical training, is needed. Athletic field preparation and irrigation knowledge are preferred. Safe equipment operation and dependable follow-through are essential.
