About FairSquare

FairSquare is a privately held fintech lender that helps small businesses access the capital they need to grow. We operate under t he National Funding & SmallBusinessLoans.com brands. Our Orlando office was recently established as the East Coast home of our sales and marketing teams. It's a fast-paced, performance-driven environment where people-focused work has a direct effect on results.

The role

We're looking for an HR Business Partner to be a trusted advisor to our East Coast leadership and teams. You'll focus on four core areas of responsibility: employee engagement, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational design. In addition, as a peer to our HR Manager, you'll handle employee relations as needed in our East Coast offices (Orlando, Atlanta & New York), so you'll need to be as comfortable coaching a sales manager through a tough conversation as you are presenting workforce data to senior leaders.

You'll report to the Chief Human Resources Officer and work closely with the HR Manager, Director of Training, Talent Acquisition, Payroll & Benefits teams.

What you'll do

- Partner with business leaders to turn company goals into people strategies that strengthen engagement, performance, and retention.
- Lead our employee engagement strategy: run surveys and listening sessions, analyze the results, and work with leaders to act on them.
- Own our performance management process, including goal setting, review cycles, and calibration, and coach managers on setting expectations and giving effective feedback.

- Lead workforce planning by analyzing headcount, turnover, and future talent needs, and work with Talent Acquisition to turn those plans into hiring priorities.
- Advise leaders on organizational design, including structure, roles, and reporting relationships, and guide teams through change.
- Serve as a day-to-day employee relations resource for managers and employees, including coaching, conflict resolution, corrective action, and investigations as assigned, in partnership with the HR Manager.
- Use HR data to spot trends, measure the impact of our people programs, and make clear recommendations to leadership.

What you'll bring

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, organizational psychology, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a business partner or consultative HR role supporting leaders
- Hands-on employee relations experience and a working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
- Experience designing and running engagement surveys and performance management processes
- Experience with workforce planning and organizational design (a plus for earlier-career candidates)
- Strong business sense and the ability to build trust and influence leaders through a consultative approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the discretion to handle sensitive matters
- Comfort working with data and presenting insights clearly
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Experience supporting sales, marketing, or financial services teams is a plus

What we offer

- Compensation: $115,000 - $160,000 plus bonus

- Medical, dental, and vision coverage

- 401(k) with company match

- PTO and paid holidays

- Other benefits or perks

- A visible role in a growing company, with direct access to senior leadership
