Staff Accountant

Job Title: Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities

- Reconcile cash, AR, chargeback, bank, and general ledger accounts.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies and outstanding items.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close.
- Process and review settlements and related payments.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve billing and receivable issues.
- Support process improvements and ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1+ year of accounting experience preferred, ideally with AR and GL exposure.
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $32.70/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
