Responsibilities:

- Champion safe work practices and compliance with MSHA requirements, site standards and established procedures, including energy isolation, stored energy control, lifting and rigging, and safe execution of underground maintenance work.
- Lead maintenance supervisors, tradespeople and supporting maintenance personnel; establish expectations, coach performance, develop capabilities, plan succession and hold the team accountable for results.

- Chair or actively lead the weekly maintenance schedule lock-in and daily execution reviews; manage schedule breaks, work priorities, backlog, emergent work and completion commitments.
- Drive compliance with the asset management process and CMMS work-order standards, including accurate failure coding, labor hours, parts usage, work history and timely closeout.
- Improve availability and reliability of the Turquoise Ridge underground fleet, including haul trucks, loaders, development jumbos, bolters, roadheader/mechanical mining equipment and mobile support equipment.
- Use equipment performance data and leading indicators to target chronic failures, eliminate repeat breakdowns, improve maintenance quality and increase planned-versus-reactive work.
- Coordinate major repairs, component replacements, shutdowns and OEM/contractor work with a strong focus on safety, quality, work readiness, schedule and return-to-service performance.
- Partner with Maintenance Engineering, Reliability, Warehousing and Supply Chain on parts strategy, component life, repair-versus-replace decisions, equipment standards and sustainable improvements.
- Manage department labor, contractor and materials costs; contribute to maintenance budgets, forecasts, equipment replacement planning and short- and long-range asset management plans.
- Communicate performance through clear KPIs, including equipment availability, reliability, PM compliance, schedule compliance, backlog, maintenance cost and repeat failures; take corrective action on adverse trends.
- Build constructive working relationships with Underground Operations and other site functions to align maintenance priorities with the mine plan while maintaining equipment and personnel safety.

Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, including meaningful underground hard-rock mining experience; previous superintendent or comparable senior maintenance leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Technical trade qualification, engineering degree or equivalent combination of education or relevant mobile maintenance leadership experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and powertrain systems, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and component repair strategies.
- Proven ability to manage maintenance planning and scheduling, CMMS work processes, backlog, maintenance budgets and contractor/OEM performance.
- Experience leading supervisors and developing maintenance teams through coaching, performance management, succession planning and continuous improvement.
- Ability to analyze reliability and maintenance KPIs, determine root causes and execute sustainable corrective actions.
- Strong working knowledge of underground mine safety requirements and the ability to lead safely in an active underground production environment.
- Effective communication and cross-functional leadership skills; ability to balance production requirements with asset integrity and long-term equipment reliability.
