About this role

About Savvy Wealth:

Wealth management is a $545 billion industry that still runs on manual work. 75% of advisors offer no digital communication beyond email, and most still build financial plans by hand in Excel. Savvy is reinventing what it looks like to be a financial advisor. Founder Ritik Malhotra saw the fragmentation firsthand after seeking out his own advisor, and started Savvy to give independent advisors a modern, AI-native home.

Savvy is a registered investment advisor (RIA), and we partner with experienced financial advisors who want to grow without running the back office themselves. Advisors bring their book and join Savvy, running under their own brand (or ours), and Savvy earns a percentage of the assets they manage. In return, they get a true business-in-a-box: a proprietary tech platform and client portal, an in-house marketing team that helps them grow, a world-class investment management team, and a dedicated client services team that runs day-to-day operations and support. Advisors at Savvy service up to 50% more households and save 19 hours a week.

AI runs through everything we do. On the product side, Savvy Intelligence (released April 2026) is the only AI built for wealth managers that can see a client's complete financial picture. Internally, everyone at Savvy uses Claude and is encouraged to experiment with it, backed by a dedicated AI enablement team and a RevOps org building agents in-house.

The trajectory is steep and it's still early. We're a Series C company with 170+ people, $200M raised, and $100M ARR in sight this year. Inc. ranked us the No. 1 fastest-growing financial services company in America in 2026. Come build the next stage with us!

The Role:

The Senior Manager, Finance Data & Systems, will be a pivotal role focused exclusively on uncovering and implementing systems and automation solutions across the Finance organization. This individual will conduct thorough research & discovery of AI use in finance; they will architect and own the automation infrastructure that reports Savvy’s revenue, billing, cash flow, and financial reporting.

As an individual contributor, this person will sit at the intersection of Finance, Data, and Operations — designing workflows, developing dashboards, eliminating reconciliation risk, and ensuring we have complete visibility into what we invoice, what we collect, and how revenue flows through the business. If you are a tinkerer who is passionate about systems & finance, this role is for you.

How We Work: An AI-Native Finance Team:

Our Finance team is small, and we run like a much bigger one because of how we use AI.

We build most of our own tools. Payout engines, reconciliation workflows, reporting, and agents that handle recurring analysis were built by people on this team. When we do buy software, we choose finance platforms built around AI and automation, not legacy systems with AI added on.

We expect everyone to work this way. When a problem shows up, your first move should be asking how AI can solve it, and you should know when the output needs a human check before money moves.

Responsibilities:

Own finance systems and data

- Diagnose where today's process breaks (timing, data gaps, manual matching, unclear ownership) and design it so reconciliations close on a predictable schedule with a documented variance log, automated matching, and exception reporting, so the team spends its time resolving exceptions, not finding them.
- Own the integrity of data flowing across Finance systems: custodian exports, CRM, billing, CPQ, commissions, payments, and the ERP.
- Establish clear metrics for reconciliation health, such as unreconciled balance, aged variances, and time to close, and report on them every period.
- Ensure pricing, quoting, and commission data tie cleanly back to billing and revenue recognition, so CPQ and commissions serve the whole Finance team's reporting needs rather than standing alone.
- Replace the highest-cost manual workflows with durable automation, using AI tools, scripting, SQL, or configuration, whichever fits the problem, and sequence the work by risk reduced and time saved.
- Serve as Finance's primary partner to the Data team: define requirements, prioritize requests, and see work through to deployment.
- Evaluate new tools and system changes as the company scales, and build the business case for investment.

Controls and documentation

- Design controls, access permissions, and audit trails for financial data, especially for any figure that determines revenue or payouts.
- Document system architecture, data flows, and processes so that institutional knowledge does not live in one person's head.
- Support audit requests related to systems, reconciliations, and automated controls.

Must Have:

- Minimum of 5 years in Finance, Finance Operations, RevOps, BizOps, or a highly analytical function within a fintech. Experience in a startup and/or with AI implementation is highly desirable.
- You feel constrained in your current role, limited by red-tape and approvals instead of testing new processes and automations that push the bounds of what is possible.
- Strong knowledge of AI and data infrastructure frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
- Fluent in scripting (e.g., Python), SQL and advanced Excel/Sheets.
- You have experience stitching data across multiple systems (CRM, ERP, payment platforms, internal databases).
- You’ve built or significantly improved financial reporting, reconciliation, or revenue data systems.
- You are deeply analytical and comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
- You have exceptional attention to detail and operate with precision in financial environments where accuracy is critical.
- You are highly organized and capable of managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.
- You are self-directed and proactively identify structural problems before being asked to solve them.

Nice to have:

- Experience in wealth management, fintech, or custodial billing environments
- Familiarity with Rillet, Campfire, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Salesforce, or financial system migrations
- Experience building data models that support board-level or investor reporting
- Experience supporting audit processes or designing financial controls
