SUMMARY
The R&D Intern Lab Technician supports the R&D group with new product development and QC testing. Then intern conducts experiments, organizes data, and helps maintain instruments and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sampling of incoming raw materials
- Conducting thermal and chemical lab experiments
- Organizing data and records in Excel spreadsheets
- Maintaining a lab notebook if required
- Performing work in a quick, clean, and safe manner
- Maintaining instruments and equipment in proper working order

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- H. S. Diploma required and is attending college working toward a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related fields
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- High attention to detail
- Experience in chemistry or thermal testing a plus
- Ability to organize
- Ability to take instructions
- Ability to learn new processes and procedures
- Ability to think independently and to innovate
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to work in a group as well as independently
