YOUR ROLE IN PROPERTY MAINTENANCE

As a Maintenance Technician I - Apprentice, you'll work alongside our maintenance professionals to keep residential properties safe, well maintained, and ready for residents while developing valuable hands-on skills.

General Maintenance & Repairs: Assist with work orders, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general property repairs.
Preventative Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct routine inspections, identify concerns, and assist with preventative maintenance.
Property Turnovers & Make-Ready: Prepare vacant homes for new residents through cleaning, touch-ups, and minor repairs.
Work Orders & Communication: Update work orders, document repairs, and communicate with residents and team members.
Safety & Equipment Care: Follow safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and equipment.

WHAT MAKES SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL AT IWM?

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows through on assignments, and is eager to learn from experienced maintenance professionals.

One year of construction, general labor, or maintenance experience preferred, but not required
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, smartphones, and mobile applications
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with basic tools and repairs
Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new skills
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between properties and respond to after-hours maintenance needs

This position involves physical maintenance work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Previous property maintenance experience is not required. We value individuals who bring a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, dependability, and a willingness to learn.
