About this role

Description

Bring the energy of Spain to the heart of the Funk Zone

For more than a decade, Loquita has been one of Santa Barbara’s favorite places to gather. Guests come for the vibrant paella, inventive tapas, and a lively patio that feels like a celebration every night. We’re looking for a Floor Manager who loves food, people, and the energy of a busy dining room to help lead our front-of-house team.

You’ll work alongside some of the most talented hospitality professionals in Santa Barbara, including Executive Chef Cristian Granada, whose bold, globally inspired take on Spanish cuisine has been recognized by the Michelin Guide and The Washington Post. You’ll help bring his vision to the floor by setting the tone for warm, polished service and mentoring the next generation of hospitality talent.

Loquita is part of Acme Hospitality, a collection of acclaimed restaurants and boutique hotels across California, which means real room to grow your career.

What You’ll Do

- Lead the floor: Set the tone every shift, keep service running smoothly, and make sure every guest feels welcome.
- Build the team: Work with the General Manager to hire, train, coach, and schedule FOH staff, holding the team to high standards in a supportive way.
- Drive results: Know the numbers, review weekly ops statements, and help meet sales and budget goals.
- Connect FOH and BOH: Keep communication open and collaborative between the floor and the kitchen.
- Care for the space: Keep the restaurant clean, well maintained, and health-department compliant.
- Be part of the community: Build relationships with regulars and represent Loquita at media and special events.
