What you'll do:

As Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the onboarding process for Financial Institutions (FIs) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs), including funds with intricate structures. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve acting as the central point person for onboarding activities including coordinating priorities among stakeholders to ensure timely time-to-revenue while maintaining compliance with global and local regulatory standards.

- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for Financial Institutions and Non-Bank Financial Institutions in Hong Kong, ensuring seamless delivery across multiple stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise for complex, high-risk cases such as PEPs, high-risk jurisdictions, layered ownership structures, and funds with GP/LP arrangements.
- Translate evolving regulatory requirements and policy changes into actionable procedures, controls, and working guidance for teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation, and effective use of management information across both onshore and offshore delivery channels.
- Prepare clear reporting on volumes, ageing, quality metrics, risks, issues, and remediation actions for management and governance forums.
- Support efficient resource utilisation by highlighting demand trends, capacity constraints, delivery risks, and opportunities to reduce operational costs.
- Coordinate client outreach expectations and document collection using reliable public sources to minimise repeat requests and enhance customer experience.
- Serve as the primary coordination contact for internal stakeholders regarding FI onboarding matters in Hong Kong, balancing business objectives with KYC policy requirements.
- Facilitate timely issue resolution by connecting relevant Front Office, KYC, Financial Crime Compliance, Legal, Operations, and FIEDD stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility of end-to-end onboarding through centralised trackers, quality controls, action logs, root-cause analysis of quality issues, audit findings, control gaps and follow-up corrective actions.
