 Contract: Permanent Employment Contract

 Work model: Hybrid, with the possibility to work from home 3 days per week

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join our Credit & Collections organization in Barcelona. In this role, you will manage customer accounts and outstanding balances while working closely with customers and internal teams to support timely payments and effective resolution of account-related issues.

You will work in an international environment where collaboration, customer focus, clear communication, and proactive account management are key to delivering a high-quality service.

As a Collections Specialist you will:

Ensure timely collection of outstanding customer balances in line with Air Products’ Credit & Collections Escalation Policy

Respond to customer calls and emails within department targets; identify customer complaints and escalate appropriately

Proactively make outbound collection calls to customers to drive strong daily productivity and maintain an effective, action oriented portfolio

Anticipate and communicate with Customer Services, Sales Representatives, and customers regarding disputed items, potential payment issues, and credit hold situations

Support and act as backup for fellow collector associates as required

Liaise with the Credit & Collections Team Lead on all credit related issues.

Maintain accurate and up to date logs of individual customer interactions and account information

✅ Required / Must have

- Fluency in English , both written and spoken
- A good understanding of customer accounts and end-to-end business processes
- Basic accounting knowledge, particularly in customer accounting
- Proficiency in MS Office applications

➕ Preferred / Nice to have

- Ideally have experience handling inbound and outbound calls, preferably within a Credit & Collections environment
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience engaging both customers and internal stakeholders on topics such as collections, dispute resolution, account reconciliation, and charges/payments
- Experience with SAP is an advantage, though not mandatory
