Consultancy Needed - Editing and Layout Design of ELEVATE Program Documents

Background

Save the Children is implementing a strategic program in Tana Luwu (Luwu, North Luwu, and East Luwu) called the ELEVATE Program (Prevention and Response to Gender Based Violence through Women's Economic Empowerment). Supported by the European Union, the program was launched last May 2026 across the three regencies. The ELEVATE (Economic Livelihood Capabilities and Violence Elimination for Women) Program is designed to break the cycle of gender-based vulnerability in Tana Luwu through a holistic integration of survivor protection systems and women's economic empowerment. The program strengthens the response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) by building the capacity of public services and establishing community task forces to prevent practices such as child marriage. As part of the implementation of the ELEVATE program, several activities were undertaken, including training utilizing modules tailored to local contexts and simplified language. Furthermore, a number of studies have been conducted by the consultant team to enhance program data To ensure these documents are professionally presented and accessible to various stakeholders, the ELEVATE Program seeks to engage a qualified consultant or firm to provide editing and layout design.

Objective

The overall objective of this consultancy is to improve the quality, readability, visual presentation, and dissemination of ELEVATE Program research, assessments, documents and reports through professional editing and graphic layout. Specific objectives include:

- Strengthen the clarity, consistency, and overall quality of report content through professional language editing.

- Develop attractive and professional layouts aligned with ELEVATE Program branding guidelines.

- Designing graphics, illustrations, and caricatures aligned with Save the Children's values to elevate the visual layout.

- Prepare print-ready files for publication and dissemination.

Scope of Work

The consultant will undertake, but not be limited to, the following tasks:

Editing and Proofreading

- Review reports for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and language consistency.

- Ensure clear and professional writing style appropriate for donor, government, NGO, academic, and community audiences.

- Check formatting consistency including tables, figures, charts, references, and annexes.

- Coordinate with the ELEVATE Program team to address comments and revisions.

Layout Design and Formatting

- Develop professional report layouts incorporating ELEVATE Program visual identity and branding requirements.

- Design report covers, internal pages, graphics, tables, and visual elements.

- Ensure reports are suitable for both digital and printed publication.

- Prepare final high-resolution and print-ready files.

Expected Deliverables

The consultant is expected to deliver:

1. Edited versions of all assigned reports.

2. Professionally designed and formatted report layouts.

3. Print-ready PDF files and editable source files.

4. Final digital package containing all approved documents.

Duration of Assignment

The consultancy is expected to be conducted over a period of 30-45 working days from contract signing. A detailed workplan will be agreed upon between the consultant and the ELEVATE Program team.

Consultant Qualifications

Interested consultants should demonstrate:

- Proven experience in professional editing, publication design, and printing services.

- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, donor-funded programs, or research institutions.

- Strong portfolio of annual reports, module design, research report, etc

- Capacity to provide high-quality graphic design.

- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple documents simultaneously.

Reporting and Coordination

The consultant will work closely with the ELEVATE Program team and designated focal persons. All deliverables shall be reviewed and approved by the ELEVATE Program before finalization.
