About this role
We are Covestro. We are curious. We are courageous. We are colorful. We refine chemical material solutions with game-changing products. Let us empower you to push boundaries. Join us and our 18.000 colleagues now and together we will make the world a brighter place.
What We Offer
- Monitor, manage, and optimize daily EP MTP plant operations — including process parameter definition, PI/throughput monitoring, grade/color sequence, recipe and SOC approval in MES, downtime/color change tracking, and continuous review of process design to improve yield and throughput — to sustain production stability, product quality, and OEE targets.
- Develop, review, and maintain operational work instructions, SOPs, and MES change requests to ensure EP MTP plant personnel operate safely, compliantly, and effectively within defined standards, including adherence to relevant ISO requirements (ISO 14001, ISO 9001/GMP, ISCC+, ISO 50001, EIA and operation permits).
- Coordinate daily production activities across shift teams, planning, maintenance, and support functions — including morning meetings, shift supervisor meetings, quality meetings, and DE/INT meetings — to align on operational priorities, plan repairs, and resolve issues promptly.
- Drive defect elimination and root cause analysis (RCA) activities for process, quality, and safety failures in designated scope in EP MTP plant, ensuring findings are implemented and followed up to enhance asset reliability and prevent recurrence, including FMEA updates, HAZOP action item completion, and monthly reliability/quality reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement, support project execution, and manage change by initiating, executing, and following up MOC and eMoC activities, leading CI/Evolve initiatives and supporting ThinkThank projects realization
- Drive quality improvement and support product development through formulation and process adjustments, new product and raw material trials, scale-up with developers, new grade MES updates, customer complaint investigation via CIAO, and active collaboration with APAC communities (SQC, CTQ, TPQM).
- Build EP MTP plant capability and manage knowledge by developing and delivering CPD training plans, creating Workday learning records, conducting new employee orientations and plant tours, supporting people development workshops, and fostering a knowledge-sharing culture across the team.
- Steer, investigate, and enhance automation/digitalization within EP MTP to improve operability, reliability, and cost efficiency, serving as the plant's accountable representative for EP Digitalization Workstream Reporting and as an active member of the EP global digitalization. Initiate & lead digitalization projects to improve plant operation efficiency, set digitalization roadmap for EP MTP plant and drive execution with engaging related cross-function stakeholders.
