General Summary:
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Senior Digital Design Engineer to join our GPU Hardware Design team in Greece. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of high-performance, power-efficient GPU hardware for advanced SoC platforms.
You will work across the complete RTL development lifecycle, from architecture and microarchitecture definition through RTL implementation, verification, integration, synthesis, timing closure, and post-silicon support. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with GPU architecture, design verification, physical design, system, and software teams.
This position is well suited for an engineer with a strong foundation in digital design and proven RTL development experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and integrate synthesizable RTL for GPU and SoC hardware blocks.
- Develop efficient and robust digital logic using Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
- Design and integrate interfaces based on AMBA protocols, including AXI and AHB.
- Translate architectural and microarchitectural requirements into clear and maintainable RTL.
- Develop control logic, datapaths, register interfaces, arbiters, FIFOs, and pipeline structures.
- Collaborate with architecture and design verification teams to define interfaces, verification requirements, and implementation details.
- Analyze and resolve RTL simulation, lint, CDC, synthesis, timing, and integration issues.
- Contribute to power, performance, and area optimization.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Support IP and SoC integration, including connectivity, clocking, reset, and configuration requirements.
- Assist with silicon bring-up and debug activities when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in digital design and RTL development.
- Hands-on experience with Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
- Good understanding of synchronous digital design concepts, including finite-state machines, pipelining, clock-domain crossings, reset strategies, FIFO design, arbitration, flow control, timing, and handshake behavior.
- Practical knowledge of AMBA protocols, particularly AXI and AHB.
- Experience developing synthesizable RTL for ASIC or FPGA designs.
- Familiarity with RTL simulation and debugging.
- Basic understanding of synthesis, lint, CDC, timing, and hardware implementation flows.
- Ability to analyze technical specifications and translate them into reliable hardware implementations.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and international environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of memory controller designs and microprocessor architectures is an added advantage.
- Experience designing hardware for GPUs, CPUs, multimedia, storage, or other high-performance SoC subsystems.
- Familiarity with GPU or accelerator architecture and data movement.
- Experience with AXI interconnects, AHB-Lite interfaces, register interfaces, clock and reset controllers, low-power design concepts, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools and RTL development flows.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to work on advanced GPU hardware technologies.
- Exposure to the complete ASIC development lifecycle.
- Collaboration with experienced architects, designers, verification engineers, and system teams.
- A technically challenging and collaborative engineering environment.
- Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
- The chance to contribute to products used by customers around the world.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
