As a Senior Staff Specialist Package Layout (f/m/d) in our Research &  Development team, you'll have the

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

- Develop package layouts for laminate-based Power Products (Chip Embedding) and PCB module designs , ensuring high performance and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with Package Concept Engineering , Product Design & Development , and Simulation teams to create optimized packaging solutions
- Drive  Design for Manufacturability (DfM)  principles throughout the package layout development process
- Conduct technical alignment and  design reviews  with external manufacturing partners and  OSATs , supporting successful layout releases
- Contribute to innovations in  layout automation, generation, and validation  as part of Infineon's global layout community
- Evaluate and implement advanced layout concepts to enhance  reliability, manufacturability, and product performance

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics , or a comparable technical discipline
- At least 5 years of professional experience in power semiconductor products  and PCB/package layout development
- Strong hands-on expertise with CAD tools and layout environments , such as AutoCAD, Cadence, and K-Layout
- Solid understanding of laminate materials, PCB technologies , and manufacturing processes
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international project teams as well as with external partners
- Fluent English communication skills are required; German language skills are beneficial
