Job Summary

The Marketing Intern will support the Industrial Coating Systems (ICS) Marketing team through a combination of strategic marketing, product portfolio management, marketing communications, digital marketing, content development, and business analytics activities. The primary focus of the internship will be supporting strategic marketing initiatives, including market research, customer insights, product portfolio analysis, competitive intelligence, and new product development activities. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting marketing communications, content creation, digital marketing campaigns, lead generation initiatives, and marketing analytics.

This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple marketing disciplines while working closely with Product Management, Marketing Communications, Sales, Engineering, and Business Leadership teams.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Product Portfolio Support

·         Assist with market research, competitive analysis, and customer insight projects.

·         Support Voice of the Customer (VOC) activities, including surveys, interviews, and analysis of customer feedback.

·         Assist with product portfolio analysis, market segmentation, and market opportunity assessments.

·         Support Product Managers with new product development (NPD) and stage-gate activities.

·         Help develop presentations, business cases, and strategic marketing recommendations.

·         Gather and organize market intelligence, competitor information, and industry trends.

·         Assist with product launch preparation and go-to-market planning activities.

·         Support pricing, product lifecycle, and portfolio management projects as needed.

Marketing Communications & Content Marketing

·         Assist in developing content for marketing campaigns, product launches, trade shows, and promotional initiatives.

·         Support creation of marketing collateral, presentations, brochures, customer communications, and sales enablement materials.

·         Help create and manage content for websites, email campaigns, social media platforms, and other digital channels.

·         Assist with content research, writing, editing, and content organization to align with customer needs and business objectives.

·         Support trade show, event, customer seminar, and exhibition planning activities.

·         Assist with video, photography, and multimedia content projects when needed.

·         Help monitor content engagement and campaign effectiveness using analytics and reporting tools.

·         Assist with development of sales tools and launch materials that support product introductions and growth initiatives.

Digital Marketing & Analytics Support

·         Assist with execution of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and social media channels.

·         Support website updates and search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives.

·         Assist with CRM data management, lead tracking, and marketing automation activities.

·         Collect, organize, and analyze marketing and business data.

·         Assist in developing marketing reports, dashboards, charts, and presentations.

·         Help identify trends and insights that support business and marketing decision-making.

·         Support lead generation and campaign tracking activities to improve marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.

Education and Experience Requirements

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, International Business, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or Data Analytics from an accredited university.

·         Must be enrolled in an accredited university program and returning to school following the internship.

- Minimum GPA requirement may be established based on business needs.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

·         Strong interest in strategic marketing, product management, and business analytics.

·         Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.

·         Ability to analyze information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

·         Interest in content creation, storytelling, and marketing communications.

·         Familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing concepts, SEO, or Google Analytics is a plus.

·         Exposure to CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, or data visualization tools is beneficial.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

·         Self-starter with a willingness to learn and contribute within a collaborative team environment.
