TELL ME MORE
As our General Manager , you take ownership of the full performance, people, guest experience and building. You translate Zoku’s strategy into clear local priorities and deliver results across Rooms, Food & Beverage and Meeting & Events. Working through a lean leadership team, you combine commercial judgement with a visible presence in the operation.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be the driving force behind Zoku’s unique value proposition, optimizing lean processes and coaching the team to achieve excellence. Leading by example, you’ll inspire consistency, professionalism, and enthusiasm at every turn.

Our Support Office provides company-wide standards and specialist expertise. You are accountable for putting these into practice locally, making decisions within agreed budgets, and taking action where performance needs a boost.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

No two days look the same as a General Manager … but here’s a glimpse of what you can expect:

- Own the business : You are accountable for the P&L performance. You shape budgets and forecasts, manage payroll and operating costs, and turn financial insights into concrete actions. You align commercial priorities and responsibilities, identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability, and ensure follow-through results.

- Create exceptional guest experience : At Zoku, hospitality goes beyond rooms. You'll ensure guests, members, and local visitors genuinely feel part of our community. Whether through service, atmosphere, events, F&B or thoughtful connections, you'll help create experiences that make people want to return again and again.

- Build a strong and stable team : You coach, develop and inspire your team, making sure everyone understands their responsibilities and feels confident making decisions within their role. You own the full P&C cycle, supported by P&C expertise. Zoku Amsterdam counts around 40 employees.

- Take care of maintenance and the building : You are accountable for maintenance, the building’s condition, and compliance with local safety requirements. You ensure maintenance and service partners meet agreed standards, manage day-to-day local landlord matters and identify and prioritize investment needs, supported by a central and onsite maintenance specialist.

- Build strong partnerships : you develop effective relationships with local partners and external service providers, including housekeeping. You set clear expectations, monitor quality and costs, and act when delivery falls short.

- Bring the Zoku concept to life : You translate Zoku’s brand standards and SOPs into consistent daily practice. You ensure the team delivers the intended service, atmosphere and experience, and turn guest feedback and operational insights into improvements.
