The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Salesforce Professional Services is seeking a Technical Architect to help pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology customers implement solutions on Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud. Working within the Customer Success Group (CSG), you will combine hands-on delivery with customer consulting to build secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.

This opportunity is suited to Salesforce consultants or developers taking the next step into technical architecture. You will own defined solution components or work-streams with support from experienced architects, progressively building your design and customer advisory skills. Appointment level and responsibilities will reflect relevant experience.

You will work with customers and partners on use cases such as healthcare professional engagement, medical affairs and patient services. You will contribute to solution design, configuration, development and integration while learning how to deliver effectively within a regulated Life Sciences environment.

Your Impact

- Build customer relationships, understand business priorities and contribute practical technical recommendations with support from the wider project team.
- Take ownership of defined solution components or technical workstreams, aligning your designs with the overall architecture and seeking review on complex decisions.
- Participate in discovery workshops and translate requirements for healthcare professional (HCP) and healthcare organisation (HCO) engagement, medical affairs or patient support into solution designs.
- Configure and develop Salesforce solutions, and contribute to data models, integrations and access controls using established patterns and platform best practices.
- Work with experienced architects and customer specialists to implement agreed privacy, consent, security and auditability requirements, and support validation activities where applicable.
- Document design decisions, build prototypes and support testing, troubleshooting and code or configuration reviews.
- Contribute to data migration, deployment and release activities, helping maintain data quality and reliable delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, consultants and customer teams to estimate work, track dependencies and raise risks or blockers early.
- Explore relevant automation and AI use cases under architectural guidance, considering data access, testing and human oversight.
- Share what you learn, contribute reusable documentation and solution components, and actively seek feedback to develop your consulting and architecture skills.

Required Qualifications

- Professional working proficiency in German or French, both written and spoken, sufficient to participate in customer workshops, explain solution designs and collaborate with customer teams in at least one of these languages.
- Candidates must already be authorised to work in Switzerland and hold a valid Swiss work permit where required.
- 3+ years of technical consulting, software engineering or Salesforce delivery experience, including 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce implementation.
- A consulting background with experience working directly with customers, gathering requirements and contributing to the delivery of technology solutions.
- Solid foundations in Salesforce application design, data modelling, security and access management, with an interest in developing broader architecture expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and custom development, supported by an understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Practical experience with APIs, integrations or data migration, and the ability to explain how connected applications exchange data.
- Awareness of data privacy and security principles, together with a willingness to learn the requirements of regulated Life Sciences delivery.
- Experience contributing to technical designs and working in agile delivery teams, with the ability to own a defined component and seek guidance when needed.
- Clear communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical choices to business and technical colleagues.
- A collaborative approach, willingness to learn and availability to travel according to customer and project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud (https://www.salesforce.com/life-sciences/cloud/) and its commercial, medical or patient services capabilities.
- Exposure to pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical technology organisations, or familiarity with HCP/HCO data, medical affairs or patient services processes.
- Experience supporting CRM modernisation, platform migration or deployments across multiple markets.
- Familiarity with Agentforce, enterprise data platforms or AI-assisted development tools, including awareness of their limitations and responsible use.
- Salesforce certifications relevant to development or platform implementation, or progress towards an architecture certification.
- Experience contributing to technical design reviews, prototypes or customer demonstrations.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable professional experience.

What You Bring

- Trust: Integrity, transparency and sound judgement when working with customers, colleagues and sensitive information.
- Collaboration: A commitment to shared outcomes, knowledge sharing and the development of others.
