Experienced Gutter Installer – Piece Rate + Sign-On Bonus

Quality Building Products | Fredericksburg / Stafford, VA

REQUIRED: Minimum 2 years of proven, verifiable, full-time gutter installation experience, including operating a seamless gutter machine, fabricating and installing seamless gutters, a valid driver's license, and the ability to safely operate a box truck.

$1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS FOR QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED INSTALLERS

About the Position

Quality Building Products is seeking experienced Gutter Installers to join our Fredericksburg team. We're looking for dependable professionals who take pride in their workmanship, understand the importance of safety, and can work efficiently while maintaining high-quality installation standards.

Compensation & Sign-On Bonus

Piece-Rate Earnings: $18.00–$45.00 per hour equivalent

- First 2 Weeks: Hourly pay of $18.00–$25.00 per hour , based on experience, during the initial onboarding period.
- After 2 Weeks: Transition to piece-rate compensation, allowing experienced, efficient installers to increase their earnings based on productivity.
- $1,500 Sign-On Bonus: Available to qualified installers with at least 2 years of proven, full-time gutter installation experience.

Sign-On Bonus Payment Schedule:

- $750 after completing 6 months of employment with Quality Building Products.
- $750 after completing 12 months of employment with Quality Building Products.

The sign-on bonus is paid in addition to regular compensation, subject to verification of qualifying experience and continued employment through each payment milestone.

How Piece-Rate Pay Works

Our piece-rate compensation is based on completed installation work, including:

- Linear footage of gutters and downspouts installed.
- Individual components installed, including elbows, miters, and other gutter accessories.
- Additional compensation based on installation height, distance from the shop, and job complexity or difficulty.

This compensation structure rewards productivity, quality workmanship, and efficiency. Actual hourly-equivalent earnings vary based on completed work and applicable piece rates.

Your Responsibilities

As a Gutter Installer, you will be responsible for all aspects of installing gutter systems according to work orders, manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

- Operate seamless gutter machines and fabricate gutters to required measurements.
- Install gutters, downspouts, elbows, miters, and related components.
- Review daily work schedules and ensure trucks are loaded with all required products, tools, and equipment.
- Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections.
- Safely operate company vehicles and transport materials to job sites.
- Safely unload and stage materials at job sites.
- Maintain quality workmanship and professional communication with customers and team members.
- Report safety, customer, or quality concerns.
- Perform warehouse-related duties as required.
- Perform any other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of proven, verifiable, full-time gutter installation experience.
- Experience operating a seamless gutter machine and fabricating and installing seamless gutters.
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a box truck.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an installation crew.
- Strong understanding of gutter installation methods, measurements, and proper drainage.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivity.

THIS IS A SAFETY-SENSITIVE POSITION.

Travel Requirements

Type of Travel Required: Local.

Daily travel to job sites.

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. The position also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength.

Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on specific job duties, and perform tasks involving ladder climbing, kneeling, reaching, and working at heights.

Compensation Range

$13.00 - $30.00
