THE ROLE: Event Driver

LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN Based w/ Travel to Events in the U.S.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Events Truck Driver is a full-time employee supporting the Events Team in transporting merchandise to and from client events throughout the United States 20 – 30 weeks throughout the year. The Events Driver is a Class A CDL license holder with experience operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers combination/pick-up trucks, gooseneck trailers combination/pick-up trucks, tag trailer combination and others. The Events Truck Driver will have a tremendous amount of interaction and personal involvement with leadership and staff and must always represent Legends Global Merchandise in a professional, gracious, and knowledgeable manner.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OUTCOMES)

- Drives and parks semi-tractor/trailer, equipment and other designated vehicle to events as scheduled
- Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.
- Inspects vehicles for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating their condition.
- Ensures proper care, use, and organization of all equipment prior to, during, and after the event.
- Maintenance, cleaning, and detailing of company vehicles.
- Skilled to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Assists with loading and unloading, desired (negotiable)
- Adheres to Legends’ policies and procedures associated with the event personnel
- Other duties may be assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)

- Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License, required
- Ability to drive out of state 20 – 30 weeks throughout the year. The length of stay will depend on the distance of travel and duration of the event.
- Organized, self-motivated, team player who can work independently as well as within a group
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

- This role is based out of Indianapolis, IN with travel as needed for approximately 20 - 30 weeks throughout the year for events.
- You may be required to support on site at our Merchandise location when not out of state.
