Essential Duties and Responsibilities

GENERAL FUNCTION

Operates sewing machine to attach label to quilted panel.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Place label on guide in Porter Automatic Label Machine.

2. Align panel on table within designated size guides.

3. Activate machine and sew label to panel.

4. Sew label by using standard sewing machine is also required.

5. As required; add thread; replace needles; oil machine; fix thread breaks.

6. Maintain cleanliness of work area.

7. Observe stitching to detect defects and repair accordingly. All stitches must be in a uniform line on label

surface.

8. Notify Production Supervisor when defects are caused by machine malfunction.

9. Perform related duties as assigned.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Experience/Education

1. Ability to read, write and understand English

2. Basic Math skills are required

3. Production line experience helpful, but not required

4. Attention to detail is a must.

5. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively in a safe manner.
