Summary
We are seeking an experienced helper to join our team! This supporting role will be the go-to-guy for cutting and replacing concrete and drywall. A good concrete and drywall helper will make it easy for our plumbers to access the plumbing underneath while leaving no trace for our clients after the work is accomplished. When no such work is needed, the laborer will be expected to assist our plumbers and apprentices with their plumbing work. Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 45-55 hours/week
Work Location: In Person
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace concrete and drywall on jobsites as needed.
- Take ownership of company drywall and concrete equipment.
- Be actively involved in cleaning the truck, re-stocking materials, and preparing for jobs at the shop each morning.
- Assist techs with protecting surfaces and preparing tools/materials in homes and other jobsites after work is sold.
- Facilitate the lead tech’s work by feeding him the tools and parts needed.
- Take initiative of keeping the work area clean and quickly get tools and materials back to the truck as the job is nearing completion.
- Take all safety precautions by utilizing all proper safety tools/equipment while performing your work (including safe driving practices).
- Purpose to be positive energy for the team, staying upbeat and energized regardless of the obstacles or circumstances.
- Master the knowledge and execution of all company processes, scripts, and protocol.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years’ experience working with drywall.
- At least three years’ experience working with concrete.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Team player, asset to company culture.
- Ability to build trust and show empathy to others.
- Engaging positive attitude that loves to serve and thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to be flexible and help with plumbing when no concrete or drywall work is needed.
