About this role

Description

Wifi is the foundation of the modern home. Without it, nothing works. eero, an Amazon company, is the first company to deliver a whole home WiFi experience using mesh technology, ensuring there isn’t a home layout or connected device we can’t handle. Fixing connectivity is, however, just the start. We’re working on the building blocks of the smart home by designing our own hardware, enabling it with software, and tying it all together to the cloud.

Amazon seeks an Accounting Controller to lead the eero accounting team. This role will report directly to the Finance Director, eero CFO and will have responsibility for supporting all parts of our financial reporting process with a heavy emphasis on providing technical accounting guidance to the organization on commercial revenue contracts.

We’re looking for a strong accounting leader and people manager who demonstrates good judgment and ensures the right decisions are reached. This role will lead and guide a team who is responsible for ensuring accuracy of financial statements, compliance with GAAP and local accounting standards, and developing and maintaining scalable management controls and processes. Experience with technical accounting research and position paper writing will also be a requirement of this position.

The candidate will have extensive technical accounting knowledge of ASC 606, ideally in a SaaS and/or B2B hardware sales environment and is comfortable performing review of non-standard, complex contracts and determining accounting treatment.

We are currently looking for candidates who are at the senior manager level. Many of our candidates for this position will also have held similar positions in larger public companies or who have held a senior manager level position with a Big 4 public accounting firm serving Fortune 500 clients for 2 or more years. Candidates for this position may have held controller or accounting director positions in public or private companies. Demonstrated experience in leading teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges will be expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.
