Marksman Security is Now Hiring for an Unarmed Security Officer

$17.50 per hour

3rd Shift

Saturday thru Wednesday 11:00pm - 7:00am

Minimum of One Year of Security Experience is Required

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security AND customer service fields.

Join our team at a high-volume distribution and warehouse facility as an Unarmed Security Officer , where you’ll play a critical role in protecting people, property, and high-value products. You will be responsible for rover patrols, gatehouse and front desk access control, device checks, dock monitoring, metal detector and X-ray screening, and tracking high-value loads.

Job is located in Hazelton Mills, PA (Commutable from Wilkes-Barre and surrounding areas).

The site is a secure, high-volume facility and will require the highest level of professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and high-quality candidates with excellent work ethics.

About This Schedule

- Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

- Days Off: Thu, Fri

- Hours per Week: 40

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

- Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.

- Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.

- Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.

- Device Check: Scanning tag on the back of approved employee devices. Reading persons IMEI on phone making sure it matches the sticker or paperwork provided for the approved device.

- North Dock: Monitoring trash dump for theft attempts, opening and closing dock doors, tracking outbound trucks, counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring open dock doors as they are being loaded. Monitoring special projects during peak season.

- South Dock: Counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring special projects during peak season, sending and receiving emails, typing truck information, and monitoring open dock doors. Open and close dock doors.

- Metal Detector: Checking devices in and out; only approved devices with a sticker or approved paperwork are allowed. Making sure visitors clear through the x-ray. Watching the X-Ray machine, making sure everyone clears through the X-Ray. Making sure no prohibited items enter the building.

- Tracker: Keeps track of all high value loads via computer software.

Required Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older

- High school degree or equivalent

- Professional demeanor and appearance

- Basic computer skills

- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

- Minimum of one year of customer service experience

- Minimum of one year of security experience

- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)

- This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time

- Able to commit to the posted schedule: Sat–Wed, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
