About this role

About Oxford Biotherapeutics:

Oxford Biotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focusing on the development of antibody therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. OBT’s OGAP-verify® platform is the world's largest, cancer specific, membrane protein library, directly measuring plasma membrane protein expression in patient tumors. OGAP is used to identify novel, highly tumor specific antigens for novel first-in-class ADC, T-cell Engager (TCE) and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR-T) targets.  Our lead asset, OBT076, is an Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) in Phase 1b clinical development.  Our clinical and pre-clinical pipeline of novel biologics is balanced between internal programs, focused on ADCs and TCEs, and externally partnered programs with key innovators in oncology such as Roche, GSK and BMS.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated SRA to join our Multispecific Development team. The successful candidate will characterize and screen innovative trispecific T-cell engagers (TCEs) and bispecific antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), helping advance promising molecules from discovery through IND-enabling studies. In this hands-on role, you will execute, optimize, develop assays and experimental strategies to advance OBT’s multi-specific pipeline.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead Identification and Candidate Selection

- Execute established screening strategies to characterize and rank trispecific T-Cell engagers and bispecific ADCs

- Generate data packages supporting molecule progression from discovery through candidate nomination and IND-enabling development

- Evaluate and support iterative optimization of multi-specific antibody formats

- Present experimental findings and contribute to project team discussions

Assay Development & Technical Expertise

- Perform binding characterization of multi-specific antibodies using established ELISA and flow cytometry assays

- Design and perform real-time cytotoxicity assays (e.g., TDCC or piggyback ADC)

- Perform experiments to assess T-cell activation (Immuno-profiling, reporter assays)

- Conduct internalization and trafficking studies to identify optimal ADC characteristics

- Generate engineered cell systems, including overexpression and CRISPR-based knockout models

Innovation & External Awareness

- Stay current with relevant scientific literature, emerging multi-specific therapeutic formats, and the competitive landscape of TCEs, ADCs, and OGAP. Apply relevant findings to experimental planning and communicate insights to the broader team.

Compliance & Documentation

- Adhere to OBT’s Quality Management System (QMS), including SOPs, documentation standards, electronic lab notebooks, and required training.

- Support audit readiness and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory systems and workflows.

- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation of experimental procedures and results.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- B.S. with 4+ years or M.S. with 2+ years of industry experience in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related discipline.

- Experience supporting the discovery, characterization, and optimization of multi-specific antibodies (Trispecific TCE or Bispecific ADC).

- Expertise with antibody binding assays (ELISA, flow cytometry)

- Experience with cytotoxicity assays with live readouts (Incucyte, eSight)

- Experience with stable cell line generation (Lentiviral transduction, CRISPR KO)

- Demonstrated ability to design, analyse, and interpret complex datasets and translate results into clear scientific conclusions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data to multidisciplinary audiences.

- Combines a humble, team-oriented mindset with the ability to form and voice clear, independent viewpoints.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

- T-cell activation assays (Reporter assays, immuno-profiling and cytokine secretion)

- Experience with internalization assays for ADCs

- Experience characterizing antibody binding via BLI/SPR
