This entry-level Laborer position is designed to provide you with practical construction experience that will allow you the opportunity to expand your knowledge of the construction industry and provide a career path through one or more of the following trades:

Carpentry

Heavy Equipment Operation

Mechanical Repair/Maintenance - Heavy Equipment, Mid-Size Equipment, and Diesel Trucks

Welding (Bridge/Structural)

Concrete Finishing

Pipe Laying (Storm/Water/Sewer)

Pile Driving

Mechanical Wrenching/Pipefitting

Marine Vessel Labor (Deckhand )

Requirements:

Must be 18 years old at date of hire.

Must have reliable transportation.

Drug free (including THC related products)

Eligible to work in the US

Daily activities will enable you to experience applicable processes and management methods firsthand. Supervisors and project staff will structure your work efforts to help you learn about your area of interest while you contribute directly to the completion of a quality project.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo
- Add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one– or two–step instructions
- Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Follow directions
- Handle basic hand tools, such as shovel, pick, broom, hammer, saw, paint brushes, etc.
- Light or heavy handling
- Job site housekeeping
- Flagging
- Erect construction signs, cones, etc.
- Required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
- Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Expected base pay range for this positions is:   $18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
